Cheesy Pasta al Forno

Vegetarian

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz. Uncooked Pasta (I mixed 8 oz. each of Ziti and Rigatoni)
  • 6 oz. package shredded cheese blend
  • 1- 32 Oz. Jar of Pasta Sauce
  • 1 cup part skim Ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic – minced
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F
  2. Cook the pasta until al dente, drain and transfer to a large bowl.
  3. Set aside 1/2 cup of the shredded cheese.
  4. Add marinara sauce, remaining cheese blend, and ricotta cheese to the pasta. Mix well.
  5. Transfer pasta mixture to a 9 X 12 baking dish.
  6. In a small bowl, combine Italian bread crumbs, melted butter, and garlic.
  7. Sprinkle over the pasta mixture in the baking dish.
  8. Spread Parmesan cheese over the mixture.
  9. Top with reserved 1/2 cup cheese blend.
  10. Bake for 35 minutes
  11. Rest for at least 10 minutes before cutting
